For hot water and heating installers in Victoria

Quote the job before you leave the driveway.

Valnix is the quoting app we're building for installers: a clean, professional quote on your phone in a few minutes. Hot water gets all three programs worked out, Solar Victoria, VEU and STCs. Heating and cooling gets the VEU discount. The customer sees the real price and can accept on the spot, subject to Solar Victoria confirming eligibility.

We're building Valnix with a small group of Victorian installers. Pilot spots are limited.

The problem

The quote is where the job is won or lost

Slow quotes lose urgent jobs

When a hot water system dies, the customer calls three people. The first clear price usually gets the job. A quote typed up that night is often too late.

Three programs, three sets of rules

Solar Victoria, VEU and STCs each have their own eligibility tests, and the rules change. The Solar Victoria income cap dropped to $150,000 on 1 July 2026. Getting it wrong means a price the customer doesn't trust, or a discount you end up paying for.

Steps done out of order delay payment

VEU has to be arranged before work starts. The customer's QR code has to be scanned on site. Miss a step and the claim is delayed or rejected.

How it will work

From site visit to rebate claim, in order

This is what we're building with pilot installers. Your feedback shapes what comes first.

  1. Pick the job on site

Choose the unit and the job type from your own price list. Add extras in a tap.

  2. Rebates and discounts applied

Answer a few questions with the customer. Valnix works out what they're likely to get and takes it off the price. Solar Victoria and your accredited provider confirm it.

  3. Customer says yes

Send the quote by text or email. The customer accepts and signs on their phone, subject to Solar Victoria confirming eligibility.

  4. Claim checklist

Valnix reminds you what's needed at each stage, from VEU paperwork to install-day evidence, so you get paid sooner.

Questions

Before you sign up

Can I use Valnix today?

Not yet. We're building it with pilot installers first, so the first version fits how real jobs run.

What does the pilot cost?

We'll talk pricing on the first call. Pilot businesses help set it.

Does it work with Xero?

Sending accepted quotes to Xero as invoices is on the plan. Tell us what else you use.

Is it only for Victoria?

For now. The rebate rules are different in every state, so we're starting where we can get them right.

Which customers qualify for the Solar Victoria rebate?

Owner-occupiers of an existing home, combined income under $150,000, property under $3 million, no earlier Solar Homes hot water or battery rebate at the address, and the old system at least 3 years old. Solar Victoria sets and confirms all of it.

Can the customer sign before the rebate is approved?

Solar Victoria asks that they don't accept a quote in writing or pay a deposit before eligibility is confirmed, and no rebate is paid if the system goes in first. Valnix keeps the on-site acceptance conditional until then. Emergency replacements are the exception: a dead or unsafe system can be installed first, with eligibility proven after.
